International conferences are hard.
Virtual event platforms charge per attendee. Webinar tools cap your audience. You cobble together a streaming service, a translation tool, a ticketing platform, and a spreadsheet — and still can’t tell which countries actually watched.
| What you need | Virtual event platforms | Webinar tools | Riverbend Live |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live AI translation | Often a separate tool or add-on | Captions — not a full translated audio feed | Built in — 40+ languages, quoted per event from $39/hr per lang |
| Multi-presenter panels | Available — complex setup, high cost | Available — attendees remain passive | Studio WebRTC — interactive panels, Q&A, fireside chats |
| Ticketed access | Platform controls registration + fees | External ticketing required | PPV built in — 25% fee, Stripe payouts direct |
| Country analytics | Basic — no per-language breakdown | None — registration data only | Real reach-by-country + reach-by-language analytics |
| On-demand replay | Available — locked to platform | Basic cloud recording | Automatic VOD, accessible in translated languages |
Your international audience can’t follow
Non-English speakers disengage mid-session when they can’t follow the speaker. You lose their attention — and their renewal.
No visibility into global reach
You know how many registrants you have, but not which countries actually tuned in or which languages your content needed most.
Platform costs more than ticket revenue
Per-attendee pricing models from virtual event platforms eat your margin before a single dollar of ticket revenue hits your bank.
Your whole audience follows every talk.
Every keynote and panel is translated live into up to 40+ languages. Attendees select their language in the player — under 3 seconds of latency, natural-sounding voice, live captions included. One stream, every language.

- Audience
No hard attendee cap
Studio audience is metered, not hard-capped. You never cut off a viewer mid-session — the platform keeps streaming and bills the audience usage transparently. The first 50 peak viewers are included; beyond that, $0.65/peak viewer (first 2 hrs), then $0.3/viewer/hr beyond.

Presenter hours
The Studio plan includes 10 presenter hours per month. Additional presenter hours are $1.5/hr — metered per speaker, so a multi-presenter panel only bills each person’s actual stage time.

Questions organizers ask
Can I run a multi-day conference — different sessions each day?
Yes. You create each session (keynote, panel, workshop) as a separate stream under your conference event. Each gets its own recording, its own analytics, and can be independently accessed by ticket-holders.
How is translation priced for a panel with multiple speakers?
Translation is a custom add-on, quoted per event on Broadcast or Studio — from $39/hr per destination language. Send us the session length, number of speakers, languages and expected audience and we’ll price it.
Is the country analytics data estimated or real?
Real. Country is captured from the Vercel edge network header on every viewer heartbeat — no IP-lookup approximation, no sampling. The reach-by-country figure is the actual count of unique viewers whose connections were routed through that country.
Why is the Studio PPV fee 25% instead of 20%?
Studio sessions use WebRTC for every viewer — which costs roughly 10× the per-viewer bandwidth of HLS streaming. The 25% fee covers LiveKit delivery for the entire audience, so you don't face a separate audience metering charge on top of ticket revenue. For a paid Studio conference, the 25% replaces the audience usage meter that would otherwise apply to free events.
Can attendees access sessions on demand after the conference?
Yes. Every session is automatically recorded and available to ticket-holders on demand after the live session ends. The VOD is accessible in each translated language — so an attendee who watched in Spanish can rewatch in Spanish at their own pace.
What is the minimum audience size that makes sense?
There is no minimum. PPV is a percentage of ticket revenue and translation is quoted per event, so a 50-attendee academic workshop and a 5,000-attendee summit both work.
